Super Chef: Audition rounds end
The two final audition rounds of Rupchanda-The Daily Star Super Chef 2017 concluded at the capital's Bangladesh Shooting Complex Federation.
The Dhaka north audition took place on Tuesday, while the south's audition yesterday. The auditions attracted over 2,800 registrations.
“I returned this year with hopes to improve my performance,” said Nazmul Haque, a restaurateur. Last year, he managed a spot on the waiting list. But his hard work paid off this year as Nazmul gained an apron, meaning a direct entry, to the competition's main segment.
Appearing from Dhaka south, he was handed over the apron by Shoeb Md Asaduzzaman, head of sales and marketing of Bangladesh Edible Oil Ltd.
Lovely Yeasmin and Dr Mafruha Nusrat Khan of Dhaka south also received aprons.
Dhaka north, on the other hand, saw two apron winners -- Ayesha Siddique and Farida Parvin.
Twenty-one participants were placed on the waiting list.
Today the participants on the waiting lists from all 16 locations of the country will fight it out for the remaining spots in the competition.
The winners will receive aprons and gain a chance to become the next Rupchanda-The Daily Star Super Chef.
