Schoolteacher found killed on Eid day
A school teacher from Narsingdi was found dead in Gazipur city on Eid day.
The body of Nargis Akhter, 54, was found in a blue barrel in front of the kitchen market in Bhogra area, said Sub-inspector Montosh Chadra Das of Joydevpur Police Station.
Her 24-year-old son identified the body. Nargis was wearing a green salwar and kamiz.
SI Montosh said that around 11:00am, the locals spotted the barrel and found the body as it was spreading malodour.
It was sent to Shaheed Tazuddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital for an autopsy. Dr Pronoy Bhushon Das of the hospital said she had been injured in the chest and abdomen. The primary sign indicates she was killed two or three days back.
He said, on Thursday, Nargis left from the capital's Tejkunipara to see her relatives in Gazipur; she had been missing since then. Nargis was the second wife of Ansar Ullah, a retired police detective, and daughter of Abdul Rahim from Narsingdi.
