SC asks lower courts to inform unexpected incidents
The Supreme Court has asked the lower courts to immediately inform the SC registrar general about any unexpected incident taking place there.
The SC authorities issued a circular containing the directive today, a day after agitating lawyers vandalised a Chittagong court after it rejected a bail petition of their fellow lawyer and his wife in a human trafficking case.
Appropriate departmental action will be taken against those who will violate the directive, said the circular signed by Registrar of the High Court Division of the SC Abu Sayed Dilzar Hossain.
The circular said the SC authorities have noticed that some unexpected incidents have taken place at the lower courts recently.
The lower courts are supposed to inform the incidents immediately to the SC so that necessary steps can be taken, but the lower court authorities did not inform and therefore the SC authorities cannot take necessary steps, according to the circular.
