Road crashes kill five, injure four
At least five people were killed and four others injured in separate road accidents in Dinajpur and Gopalganj.
In Gopalganj, Moinuddin Munshi, 14, was killed and his uncle Abdul Khalak Munshi was injured in a road accident on Gopalganj-Kotalipara road when a three-wheeler fell into a roadside ditch, police said quoting locals.
The injured was admitted to Kotalipara Upazila Health complex, police sources said.
Meanwhile in Dinajpur, Md Abdul Kuddus, 40, died on Friday when his motorcycle collided with a battery-run three-wheeler on Birganj-Kaharol road, said police.
The accident also left Md Tahrul Islam, 25, a passenger of the three-wheeler grievously injured. He later died at a local hospital, added police.
In another incident at Khansama upazila, HSC student Arifuzzaman Ribu died when a tractor hit a three-wheeler in Pandhoarghat area yesterday, reports our correspondent. His cousin Mizanur was critically injured in the accident.
One Rafi uddin was killed in Biral upazila when a vehicle lost control and skidded off the road yesterday, police said quoting locals. Two others were injured.
The injured were treated at M Abdur Rahim Medical College Hospital.
