Report irregularities in school, college admission by Feb 15
The Anti-Corruption Commission yesterday asked all deputy commissioners (DCs) to report it by February 15 about students who failed exam but were promoted to next levels.
“We have found allegations that many school authorities promote failed students to next classes by imposing extra charges,” said an ACC official, wishing anonymity. ACC yesterday sent letters to the 15 institutions in the capital seeking information about their admission process and asked them submit information by January 12.
The institutions are: Motijheel Govt Boys' High School; Ideal School and College; Viqarunnisa Noon School & College; Willes Little Flower School and College; Udayan School; Govt Laboratory High School; Azimpur Govt Girls' School and College; Agrani School and College; Dhanmondi Govt Boys' School and College; Mohammadpur Preparatory High School; Saint Joseph High School; Dhaka Residential Model School and College; Holy Cross High School; Monipur High School and College, and Rajuk Uttara Model School and College.
