Police sue 1,500 people over Barisal clash
Police yesterday sued 1,500 people on the charge of obstructing police duties and injuring the law enforcers during an eviction drive the day before.
Sub-inspector Ashraf of Kawnia Police Station accused 25 people by names while the rest unnamed, said Officer-in-Charge Selim Raza.
On Thursday, traders clashed with police during the drive against them by Barisal City Corporation on the city's BSCIC Road, injuring at least 15 persons, including eight policemen.
