Malaysia Healthcare Week starts in capital
The "Malaysia Healthcare Week-2015" started in the capital yesterday to create awareness among the public about healthcare opportunities in Malaysia and promote medical visits to Malaysia by Bangladeshi patients.
Different campaigns on healthcare travel to Malaysia, including free consultation sessions with specialist physicians, health talks, healthcare exhibitions, road-shows or rallies and seminars will be organised in the capital.
Healthcare Travel Council (MHTC), a Malaysian government owned organisation, and its counterpart GD Assist Ltd, a subsidiary of Green Delta Insurance Co Ltd, organised the seven-day programme which was inaugurated through a press conference at Jatiya Press Club.
MHTC General Manager Suriahni Abdul Hamid, Chairman of GD Assist Ltd and founder Managing Director of Green Delta Insurance Nasir A Chowdhury, Director of GD Assist Ltd Farzana Chowdhury and Regional Director of Oceania, Europe, and South and Central Asia affairs of MHTC Kobita Mathuve were present on the occasion.
Suriahni Abdul Hamid said doctors of several premier healthcare institutions from Malaysia, namely KPJ Healthcare and the National Heart Institute, would provide free consultation sessions for the patients of cardiology and gastroenterology on the occasion.
