Journos' training on religious issues begins in Khulna
A three-day workshop for journalists on how to deal with religious issues began at SAINT training centre in Khulna yesterday.
Twenty-five journalists from the print and electronic media took part in the training session organised by the News Network and High Commission of Canada in Bangladesh.
Aminul Ahasan, deputy commissioner of Khulna, inaugurated the opening session as the chief guest.
Speakers said the training will enhance journalists' professional skills and make them capable of reporting religion related issues with respect to human rights.
Advocate Enayet Ali, Shahiduzzaman, editor of News Network; Faruq Ahmed, president of Khulna Press Club; Mamunur Rashid, lecturer of journalism department at Khulna University; Didarul Alam, Khulna bureau chief of UNB; spoke, among others.
