Garo rape accused recaptured, remanded
The prime accused in the rape case of an ethnic girl in Dhaka, who ran from custody, was remanded this afternoon hours after he was recaptured from Badda area.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Sabbir Yeasir Ahsan Chowdhury placed Afsan Hossain alias Rubel on six-day remand after DM Mamun, Badda Police Station sub-inspector and the investigation officer, produced him before the court with a 10-day remand prayer.

SM Mostaq Ahmed, deputy commissioner of Gulshan zone police, confirmed The Daily Star of recapturing Rubel, who managed to flee from custody at court premises in Dhaka two days ago.
Elite force Rapid Action Battalion arrested Rubel in Dhaka last Friday. He was handed over to Badda police on Saturday. He escaped when police took him to court on Sunday.
Two policemen were suspected of negligence in duty over Rubel’s escape.
The girl in concern, of Garo ethnic minority, was raped in Badda last month.
