Four lives lost
Four people were killed and five others injured in rpad accidents in the country yesterday.
Our Sylhet correspondent reports, a woman and her one-year-old boy were killed and five others were injured as a Jaaflong-bound bus plunged into a ditch beside Sylhet-Tamabil highway in Mohammadpur area at Goainghat upazila.
The dead were Shilpy Akther, 30, and Saad Ahmed.
The injured, including Shilpy's husband Al-Amin, were rushed to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital.
Our Dinajpur correspondent adds, a motorcyclist, Ahad Ali Mondal, 65, former ward member of Shalkhuria union parishad and resident of Tikhur village, died as a bus hit his vehicle at Dalardarga village in Nawabganj upazila.
Our Jhenidah correspondent adds, Piyash Hossain, 27, son of Jamal Uddin of Kayergachi village, died as his motorbike rammed into a bus in Chalabhara bus stand area on Jhenaidah-Jesssore road.
Police sent the body to Jhenaidah sadar hospital morgue for autopsy.
