Fire breaks out at Kurmitola hospital
A fire that broke out at Kurmitola General Hospital in the capital last night was brought under control after two and a half hours' effort.
No causality was reported, said hospital sources.
The fire originated from a storeroom of the basement-2 of the building around 9:30pm, Niaz Ahmed, station officer of Kurmitola fire station, told The Daily Star.
The hospital authority brought all patients out when the fire broke out, he said, adding, the fire might have originated from a short circuit.
