Ex-ICT minister Mostafa dies
Mostafa Faruque Mohammad, former information and communication technology (ICT) minister, died at a Dhaka hospital yesterday, aged 74.
Mostafa, also a former ambassador, left behind his wife and two daughters.
He was born at Krishnanagar village in Jhikargachha upazila of Jessore on March 21, 1942.
Faruque served in various capacities at Bangladesh embassies in India, Myanmar, Egypt, Vietnam and Russia. He was also Bangladesh's alternative representative to the UN Security Council in 1979.
