Ex-army man found dead in a Dhaka hotel
Police recovered the body of a former army man from a hotel in Dhaka’s Motijheel area today.
The deceased was identified as Hamidur Rahman alias Mozibur, 38, a resident of the city’s Shahjahanpur area.
Police, being informed by a staff of Hotel Arena, recovered the body from a room on the second floor around 10:00am, said Omar Faruk, officer-in-charge of Motijheel Police Station.
The OC said that Hamidur, a heart patient, left the government job about eight to nine years ago and started working with a travel agency.
On Thursday, he along with a girl rented the room introducing themselves as husband-wife. Police detained the girl for interrogation, he said.
The body was sent to Dhaka Medical College morgue for autopsy to determine the cause of his death, the OC added.
