Chinese team meets officials to discuss its president's visit
The visiting high-level 15-member Chinese advance team yesterday discussed with high government officials on various aspects of the forthcoming visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping in the middle of next month.
This is the first time in 30 years a Chinese president is coming to Bangladesh.
This is also Xi Jinping's second visit since he first visited in 2010 when he was China's vice president.
Foreign ministry sources said the team met with Acting Foreign Secretary Rear Admiral (Retd) Khurshed Alam and officials from the Protocol and East Asia and the Pacific wings.
