A businessman was shot and injured by miscreants in broad daylight at Eskaton in Dhaka this morning.

Injured Anwar Hossein, 55, the president of Bangladesh Medical Device Association, is now undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Anwar was going to work from his Eskaton residence when two people shot at his private car, reports our correspondent quoting Mashiur Rahman, officer-in-charge (OC) of Ramna Police Station.

The bullet first hit the window of the car then hit him in his left ribs, the OC added.
