Books on interviews of 25 luminaries launched
Pain, happiness and sentiments of 25 luminaries who have taken Bangladesh to a new height through their success and contribution are framed in books.
The two volume interview based books titled “Bela Obela Sarabela” contains many unknown stories of dignitaries like -- Nazrul Sangeet maestro Firoza Begum, editor and publisher of weekly magazine “Begum” Nurjahan Begum and revolutionary Binod Bihari Chowdhury.
Others are: National Prof Dr Mustafa Nurul Islam, celebrated artist Qayyum Chowdhury, Finance Minister AMA Muhith, Prof Emeritus Dr Anisuzzaman, eminent jurist Dr Kamal Hossain, artist Mustafa Monwar, educationist Prof Abdullah Abu Sayeed, singer Ferdousi Rahman, entrepreneur Rokia Afzal Rahman, politician Tofayel Ahmed, drama personality Ali Zaker, poet Nirmalendu Goon, writer Joy Goswami, Nazrul Sangeet singers Sohrab Hossain and Prof Mozaffar Ahmad, writer Foyez Ahmed, child specialist Dr MR Khan, Nazrul Sangeet musician Sudhin Das, Tagore exponent Dr Sanjida Khatun, barrister Rafique-ul Haq, litterateur Abdus Shakur and actress Ferdousi Majumdar.
The volumes were published earlier by Somoy Prokashon, but the publication ceremony was held yesterday at the capital's Bangla Academy. Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor took interviews of 230 eminent persons in five years which was aired at a private television -- Desh TV.
