Bangladesh elected Unesco member again
Bangladesh has been re-elected a member of the Executive Board of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (Unesco) for the next four years, said a press release.
A total of 144 member countries out of 184 voted for Bangladesh to secure the membership of the executive board for the third time in an election held at the Unesco headquarters in Paris on Wednesday, said the release.
A high-level delegation led by Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid was present during the voting.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina congratulated the Bangladesh delegation on the achievement, said the release.
