Aircraft crash: PM curtails Singapore tour
Curtailing her tour, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who is now in Singapore on a four-day official visit, will return home tomorrow due to crash of the US-Bangla aircraft in Nepal.
Sheikh Hasina, who was supposed to return home Wednesday evening, is likely to reach Dhaka tomorrow morning, said a staff of the prime minister's press wing.
Hasina, also president of the ruling Awami League, left Dhaka for Singapore on a four-day official visit at the invitation of her Singaporean counterpart Lee Hsien Loong on Sunday.
At least 49 people were killed following the crash that took place at Tribhuvan International Airport in Nepal at 2:20pm today.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina had a telephone conversation with her Nepal counterpart Khadga Prasad Sharma Oli and assured him to extend her all supports.
Hasina made the phone call to Oli around 7:50 pm (Singapore time), according to press wing staff.
