During the encounter with police last night, militants may have tried to commit suicide by detonating a grenade, police said.
“When we were conducting the drive, the militants attacked policemen. And at one point, they may have tried to commit suicide through blasting a grenade, Masudur Rahman, deputy commissioner (media) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) told The Daily Star.
