6 female ‘Jamaat activists’ held in Kadamtali
Police today claimed of detaining six female activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and recovered some organisational books from their possession in Kadamtali of Dhaka this afternoon.
Tipped-off, police raided a house there around 4:00pm and detained the “six female leaders”, Arshaidul Haque, officer-in-charge of Kadamtali Police Station, told The Daily Star.
They were holding a secret meeting at the fourth-floor of the five-storied building. A total of 18 religiously inciting books were recovered from their possession, the OC said.
The detainees were identified as Jannatul Kobra Jakia, Masuma Akhtar, Nasrin Aktar Nusrat Sharmin, Rawshan Jahan and Fatema.
