4 Bangladeshis to join IBO

Four Bangladeshi students will participate in the 28th International Biology Olympiad (IBO), scheduled to be held in the United Kingdom on July 29 and 30.

The participants are Nafis Ishmam Ahmed from St Francis Xavier's Green Herald International School, Md Baizid Mia from International Turkish Hope School, Maisha Munawara Prome from Oxford International School and Nazmus Sadat from Mangrove International School.

It is the second time that a Bangladeshi team will contest in the IBO, the biggest biology competition for the secondary and higher secondary school students, Bangladesh Biology Olympiad (BBO) told a press conference in an auditorium of Dhaka Reporters' Unity yesterday.

Prof Md Shahidur Rashid Bhuiyan, president of BBO, said students from 80 countries would participate in this year's Olympiad.
