3 held over killing of man in Sylhet
Police arrested three people from Bandarbazar in Sylhet city on Tuesday night in connection with the killing of a man.
Police also recovered a knife used for the murder.
The arrestees are Abul Kashem, 22, of Sonarpara in the city, Parvez Miah alias Liton, 26, of Baraikandi and Morshed Miah, 31, of Gopesahar in Sylhet.
On June 14, police recovered a body of Taj Uddin Ahmed, 52, of Dubag, near the Shahjalal Bridge in the city. Nurul Huda Ashrafi, assistant commissioner of Sylhet Kotwali Police Station, said the arrestees stabbed Taj Uddin while trying to snatch him. They used to snatch in Shahjalal Upasahar, Mendibagh, Shahjalal Bridge and Kazirbazar Bridge areas, said the assistant commissioner.
