2 held in Dhaka with Hizb ut-Tahrir posters
Police detained two youths while they were pasting posters of banned militant outfit Hizb ut-Tahrir on Moneshwar road of Hazaribag area in Dhaka early morning today.
One among them is a BBA student and another is a pharmacy store worker in the area.
They were held along with 90 posters, Mir Alimuzzaman, Officer-in-Charge of Hazaribag Police Station told The Daily Star.
They said that they were paid Tk 500 each by an unknown man to paste the posters, the OC added. However, the police are assessing their claims and further investigating the matter.
The government in October 2009 banned all kinds of activities of Hizb ut-Tahrir Bangladesh in the interests of public security.
