11,933 hajj pilgrims return home
A total of 11,933 pilgrims returned home in 30 return flights in the last three days after performing hajj in Saudi Arabia.
According to a bulletin issued by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the return flights started on September 6 and will continue until October 5.
Among the 30 flights, the Biman Bangladesh Airlines operated 13 flights while the Saudi Airlines the rest of the flights.
This year, 98 Bangladeshi hajj pilgrims, including 20 women, died in Saudi Arabia. Among them 73 died in Makkah, 16 in Mina, seven in Madina, and one in Jeddah.
The first return hajj flight with 420 hajj pilgrims arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Wednesday night.
