Government officials to be trained in tackling cyber crime
In collaboration with World Bank, the government will train up to 2500 officials on cyber crime prevention. 85 officials have already completed their training from both National University of Singapore and ESI Training Institute of India.
This training program is part of the Leveraging ICT for Growth, Employment and Governance (LICT) project which will be funded by World Bank. The international donor agency has agreed to loan Tk. 560 crore in implementing several aspects of the LICT project including expansion of data centre, developing human resources, setting up cyber safety training etc. The government is also looking to set up a National Enterprise for Architecture which will facilitate data sharing between government organizations.
