'Microsoft Boot Camp' held on Secured OS and Office 365


For security reasons Microsoft is going to discontinue its world renowned PC operating system XP. Meanwhile from personal to corporate, the use of the operating system is still continued in Bangladesh. To avoid the vulnerability of expired OS, Microsoft arranged 'Microsoft Boot Camp' at Savar recently.To aware the users, and to present a safer OS Windows 8 & 8.1, altogether with new version of 'Office 365' were the main issues of the seminar which was organized by Computer Source. About 50 representatives from retailers and Microsoft partners and ISPs participated in the program.  The risks of using Microsoft XP and how to overcome OS related difficulties and Features of Office 365 were discussed in the program by Md. Abu Tareq Al Kaiyum (Tapan), Rajib TANIM and Moniruzzaman from Product management team of Microsoft, Computer Source wing. Rumesa Hussain, Abu Saleh Mohammad Rasheduzzaman and Arif Hossain from Microsoft Bangladesh also took part in the discussion.

 

 

BCS gets new executive committee


Computer Source Managing Director and Better Business & BCS (BB&B) panel member, AHM Mahfuzul Arif has been elected as the President of Country's premier ICT industry association- Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS). Another member Nazrul Islam Milon has also been elected as the General Secretary of BCS. Meanwhile, other panelist of BB&B, Muzibur Rahman Sawpon has been nominated as Vice President and Kazi Shamsuddin Ahmed Lavlu as Treasurer. Besides, Shafique Uddin Ahmed and Ali Ashraf have been elected as directors while independent candidate S.M Wahiduzzaman has been opted for Treasurer.   Earlier, The Six members among the seven candidates of Better Business & BCS (BB&B) panel were elected in BCS election 2014-15. The spokesperson for BB&B panel, Mr. Mahfuzul Arif thanked all the voters to make time for the election.  'There is nothing to lose, we all 13 will work together for the positive transformation and the expansion of BCS' – said Mr. Arif while expressing his feelings after the result.  He said, 'This is the win for unity. No one won individually. I believe we all can work for the positive change that we want.'
