Boy rescued in Ctg, two abductors arrested
Police rescued an eight-year old boy from Fatikchhari upazila of Chittagong on Monday night, two days after his abduction from the city's Nasirabad area.
Police also arrested two abductors Najma Akhtar Ruma, 22, of the upazila, and Suiching Marma, 26, of Khagrachhari.
On October 18, Najma went to the house of the victim, Rabbi and started talking to his family members. At one stage, she sent him with money to bring breakfast. Later, Najma left the house and the boy went missing, said police.
The abductors on the same day demanded Tk 1.30 lakh as ransom from Rabbi's father Jahangir Alam over the phone.
Following a case filed by Jahangir, police arrested Suiching from Madanmal bus stand of Raojan and Najma from Gahira. Later Rabbi was rescued from Maizbhandar area.
During primary investigation, the duo also confessed to abducting another three-year old girl Hasi from the city's No-2 gate for Tk 20,000 on October 5.
