Boy, 6, walks away after being run over by SUV
A young boy in China miraculously survived after being run over by an SUV last week when he managed to squeeze his body between the tires of the vehicle that drove right over him without stopping.
The boy, aged 6, was playing on an empty road in Jining city of the Shandong Province when he found himself in the cross-hairs of the driver of a red SUV, a surveillance footage obtained Sunday by the BBC shows.
In tears when he first saw the hair-raising video of the remarkably close call, the boy’s grandfather said his grandson had been extremely lucky to survive.
Police said the boy was able to escape the frightening situation unscathed because the vehicle had been tall enough to pass completely over him as he laid between the wheels and the chassis.
Once the SUV finally makes it over the child and shockingly exposes him on the ground below, the video shows the boy pick himself up and stumble away while rubbing his back.
