BNP demo Sunday
BNP will hold demonstrations across the country Sunday to protest against police action preventing the party from holding a meeting in the capital yesterday.
Leaders and activists of the party will bring out protest processions and hold rallies at thana-level headquarters in all divisional cities and district headquarters in rest of the districts, BNP joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, announced at a press conference at the party's headquarters at Nayapaltan this morning.
On Thursday, police barred BNP from holding a discussion in the capital’s Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh as the party had no permission from Dhaka Metropolitan Police.
BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia and the country’s eminent citizens were scheduled to address the programme in protest against the increasing incidents of killing, force disappearance and abduction.
