It is not uncommon for students to stay up all night and study. However, last week’s spotlight titled ‘A Nocturnal Generation’ brought out a very different side to that pulling an all-nighter experience. As a student of architecture, I can relate to the pressure of assignments. Moreover, as a young professional who works late into the night at a call centre, I understand how balancing between studies and work can be challenging. Kudos to Sumaiya Ahsan Bushra for aptly articulating what many of us experience, and bringing out the hard working side of young Bangladeshis. I hope her piece will help many parents understand why we’re up all night!
