Bangladesh will appeal if it does not get justice at the end of the final process of the trial in the Felani Khatun murder case in Indian court.
Terming the killing a tragic incident, Foreign Minister Dipu Moni has said, “We have sought details of the trial process. We will definitely appeal if we do not get justice finally.”
In reply to a question at a press briefing at the foreign ministry on Thursday, she said the Bangladesh government had long been demanding justice over the murder.
The General Security Forces Court of the Indian BSF in Pashchim Banga on September 6 acquitted its soldier Amya Ghosh of the charge of killing the 15-year-old Bangladeshi girl while she was crossing over the barbed wire fence at Anantapur of Phulbari in Kurigram on January 7, 2011.
