Sirajul was the president of Teknaf Sadar union unit of AL, and Gafur was the president of Maheshkhali's Sonadia ward unit AL and also a member of Kutubjom union parishad. Shahidullah was a Saudi Arabia expatriate.
Four to five armed criminals broke into Sirajul's house at Pollan Para in Teknaf Sadar upazila and fired shots at him after he woke up from sleep around 1:20am yesterday, said the victim's son Abdul Faruk.
They also shot Sirajul's wife, Yeasmin Aktar, as she screamed for help, he said.

The victims' father Khalil said they had been in loggerheads with a family in Jagiraghona village over a piece of land.
He claimed that some goons sent by the rival family tried to grab the land around 10:00am yesterday. As he tried to stop them, they beat him up.
