For a fairer electoral process
Newspaper reports say that the Election Commission (EC) is going to start 'drawing' or 'redrawing' boundaries of parliamentary constituencies in the country.
If we really want genuinely free and fair elections. . .
We need an EC which is truly independent from all aspects; this independence does not only mean structural independence, but operational and financial independence along with individual independence of the election commissioners.

Credible Elections and 'Caretaker' Government
On July 26, BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia said 'a caretaker government is not a must for holding national election, but it has to be held under a neutral government, no matter what its name is'.
For a credible electoral roll
Election Commission Bangladesh (ECB) has started updating electoral roll since July 25, 2015 which will continue up to February 10, 2016.
