FROM THE SHOOTING SPOT
An engine-run boat was decorated like a tent, by covering its upper portion with fabrics. Two chairs were brought there next, and soon members of the unit started creating a set on the boat, following the direction of Tauquir Ahmed. At the shooting spot of his upcoming film “Halda” on the banks of the eponymous river in Chittagong, he gestured to the assistant director to bring the artistes. As Tisha began to board the boat, Zahid Hasan helped her in. Tauquir, along with his assistants, boarded another boat with camera and monitors.
After two kilometers of plying into the river Halda the two boats return with the team. On a bright, sunny day, filming for the film continues amid scorching heat.
As the boats anchor at Baruapara near the bank of the river after completing the sequence, Zahid Hasan and Tisha emerge sweaty and tired. Tauquir compliments them for the shot.
This was the big scene from “Halda” shot in the river. In the scene, Tisha was seen returning from her father's home with husband.
As soon as the news of shooting spread, Tauquir and cast members Zahid Hasan, Fazlur Rahman Babu, Mosharraf Karim and others witnessed a big crowd, on their arrival at a home at Baruapara.
The unit boys tried to disperse the mob but they remained desperate and started taking selfies with the arties without their permission.
As Mosharraf began to get a little irked, Tauquir stepped and plead with the villagers to move to one side. He got ready to shoot a scene with Zahid, Tisha, Babu and Momena Chowdhury, but it took three takes to shoot the scene due to the noise coming from the background.
As Tauquir, Zahid, Babu and Tisha sat at the courtyard, swarms of onlookers gathered again, to take more selfies.
Amid the commotion, some women and a kid came to the set. Zahid extended an affectionate gesture towards the kid.
After a short break where Zahid and Mosharraf burst into laughter recalling funny stories, but with the barrage of villagers, they had lock themselves up inside a house.
A busy Tauquir asked his unit to prepare for another shot, and despite some delays brought on by crowd disturbance, it did not take much time to film the emotional scene.
After a break for lunch, the director asked to prepare a boat for the next scene. Zahid and Tisha boarded the boat again and the camera rolled. Hundreds of onlookers still gathered on the riverbank.
