Phil Collins plans comeback with the biggest ever solo gig
Phil Collins is all set to make a triumphant comeback with the biggest solo performance ever.
The legendary singer will make one of the headline acts for the British Summer Time Hyde Park festival on June 30 next year.
The former Genesis frontman has been revealed to be joining American band Green Day as the second headliner, reports Mirror.
Earlier on October 17, Collins, 65, announced a comeback tour next summer in London, Paris and Cologne, after changing his mind about retiring.
"The reaction from the British public has been overwhelming. I can't wait to play Hyde Park and see everyone there," he said.
The singer will play five nights at the Royal Albert Hall in London as well as dates in Cologne and Paris, reports Mirror.
The ‘In The Air Tonight’ and ‘Another Day In Paradise’ star had officially announced his retirement in 2002.
"I stopped work because I wanted to be a dad at home. As bad luck would have it, as soon as I retired, my family split up,” Collins told a press conference in October about coming out of retirement.
“I'm living with my young kids. They want me to go out on the road and do my thing, and why not?"
