A unique Eid beckons Beauty
After rigorous schedules of shooting or recording, artistes look forward to the Eid holidays for some respite. For many, it is the chance to return home away from the capital, to be reunited with their families and loved ones. However, this won't be the case for popular singer Beauty, who will spend Eid ul Azha at Dhaka for the first time ever due to work commitments.
“To me, Eid is a time when I'd go back home, to eat food cooked by my mother. I truly regret not being able to go, and I will miss my family and relatives back home,” she said.
The singer has been extremely busy with projects for Eid-ul-Azha. She has recorded songs for various TV channels, including three folk songs to be aired by BTV. She also has an appearance on a musical programme titled “Eid er Gunjon” where she performed one folk song. Banglavision has arranged a musical programme on Bhawaiya songs, where she performed three numbers under the genre. For Ekushey TV, the singer has recorded two folk songs.
“My songs performed on BTV have a wider reach than others, because everyone in the country, including the remote areas, has access to the channel. The presence of my fans is more palpable to me whenever I perform for the channel,” she said.
“Musical programmes are just as popular as TV plays on Eid,” she quipped, “and I am indebted to my fans for their support.”
Once the Eid festivities begin, the singer will go on to make appearances in two live TV programmes aired by Asian TV and SATV.
