Dilara Zaman back on the big screen!
Prominent actress Dilara Zaman has won countless hearts with her powerful performance for decades. Besides acting in TV plays, she has ventured into modeling and cinema in her long career span. The National Film Award-winning actress has given innumerable memorable performances all throughout her career, and continues to be a busy actor of the small screen.
After a long pause, she is going to act in a film. In Tauquir Ahmed's “Halda” she will portray a role named Surutbanu. The veteran actress is set to join the filming unit in Rajbari's Goalando on December 13.
Suratbanu is the mother of Nader played by Zahid Hasan. Here she will deliver dialogues in the Chittagonian dialect, said the actress.
I stayed in the port city for few years, but its local language is very difficult,” Zaman said.
“In spite of the difficulty, I have memorised the dialogue and hope there will be no major problems,” she added.
Besides the film, Dilara Zaman has recently completed shooting for two upcoming TV plays, ahead of Victory Day. One of them, “Boro Bari Choto Bari”, is directed by Arun Chowdhury.
Apart from this, she is acting in the serial “Antrajatra”, directed by Badrul Anam Saud, on Ekushey TV. She is also seen acting in Mostofa Kamal Raj's “Chowdhury and Sons” on Asian TV and Ferdous Hasan Rana's “Phool ar Kata” on ATN Bangla.
Zaman is set to shoot for a telefilm soon, based on a story of Kazi Nazrul Islam under the direction of Nargis Aktar.
When she gets a breather from acting, she spends her leisure reading books and watching TV.
