Shurer Dhara tours India
Music school Shurer Dhara , spearheaded by leading exponent of Rabindra Sangeet Rezwana Chowdhury Bannya, took a 17-member team of performers on an eight-day tour to Kolkata, Lucknow and New Delhi at the invitation of Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR). The team included dancers from Shurer Dhara's project for underprivileged children called 'Music for Development', says a press release.
The Shurer Dhara troupe showcased their final presentation on July 2 in New Delhi.
The theme of the show centred on Tagore's Nobel Prize winning “Gitanjali” or Song Offerings.
