National Anthem competition held in Pabna
An exceptional competition of singing the National Anthem among the students was held at the Ishwardi upazila nirbahi office in Pabna on Monday, to promote proper singing of the anthem in educational institutions.
Students of all educational institutions located in Ishwardi municipality and the seven unions of the upazila participated in the competition held at the upazila parishad auditorium. Participants performed national anthem in solo and chorus.
Among primary schools, Gokulnagar government primary school; Sara Marwari School and College in secondary level; and Ishwardi Government College became champion for chorus performance of the National Anthem.
Ishwardi upazila nirbahi officer Nasrin Akter chaired a discussion, while vice chairman of Ishwardi upazila parishad Mahamuda Begum, and three union parishad chairmen spoke on the occasion.
The speakers stressed on the need to sing National Anthem flawlessly for the sake of upholding the spirit of nationalism.
