BSA organises cultural event, competition and album launch
Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) organised a countrywide cultural competition among all the primary school students and launched 20 music albums recorded by 200 young singers and a cultural programme on May 13.
The event started with piano and sarod recital by artistes of BSA. Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor attended the programme as chief guest while secretary of the ministry Md. Ibrahim Hossain Khan was present as special guest. Liaquat Ali Lucky, DG, BSA, presided over the programme. The guests unveiled 20 audio CDs recorded by the promising singers of different schools. The youngsters rendered two choral songs --“Dhono Dhanno Pushpa Bhora” and “E Mati Noy Jongibaad-er” at the programme.
Young artistes received awards (first, second and third), certificates and medals (gold, silver and bronze) in several categories including Rabindra Sangeet, Nazrul Sangeet, patriotic songs, folk songs, dance (general), dance (classical), recitation and solo acting.
Later, a special dance programme titled “Srijan Chhandey Anandey” was held at National Theatre Hall auditorium where artistes of several organisations presented dances. Lubna Marium, Benjir Salam, Farhana Chowdhury Baby and Rachel Priyanka Perris directed the dances.
