With a vision of spreading the ideology of Bangabandhu among the new generation, a three-day art exhibition titled “Bangabandhu and Bangladesh” began at Fine arts department of Rajshahi University (RU) on Monday.
RU vice chancellor Prof Muhammad Mizanuddin inaugurated the exhibition at 10:30am at the fine arts gallery on the campus.
Some 84 artworks on the titular theme were displayed, by over 80 teachers and students of 7 universities.
Addressing at the inaugural ceremony, RU VC Prof Mizanuddin said the exhibition plays an important role for spreading Bangabandhu's ideology throughout the country. At the programme, awards and certificates were given to artists in seven categories.
Among others, RU Pro-VC Chowdhury Sarwar Jahan and Abdul Matin Talukder, chairman of Fine Arts department, addressed the inaugural ceremony.
