AL leader among 2 killed after abduction in Rajbari

Bullet-riddled bodies of two persons including an Awami League leader were found in Pangsha upazila of Rajbari today, nearly six hours after they were abducted from Kushtia.
Deceased KM Mohabbat Hossain Dulal, 55, was the joint secretary of AL unit in Khoksha upazila; and Firoz Mahmud Kamal, 45, a contractor and a cultural activist.
They were kidnapped around 12:30am while returning to their Shomospur residence in Khoksha upazila, Limon Roy, assistant superintendent of police (ASP) in Kushtia, said quoting locals.
Both the victims were contractors, reports our Kushtia correspondent.
Describing the incident, the ASP told The Daily Star that unknown criminals forcibly picked up Dulal and Firoz in a microbus when they were walking past Shomospur Bazar and since then they remained missing.
Informed by locals, Pangsha police recovered the bodies lying in a drain at Machpara village around 6:30am, the ASP added.
The bodies bore bullet injuries in their heads and chests, he added.
