Action against tinted glass starts

Traffic police in capital have begun legal actions against all types of vehicles containing tinted glass this morning as the deadline to remove the glasses ended yesterday.

Owners of the vehicles have been fined at least Tk 1,250 under the section 151 of Motor Vehicle Act, reports Bangla daily Prothom Alo.

In some cases, necessary documents of the vehicles containing tinted glass have been seized, the daily reports quoting sources of Dhaka Metropolitan Police Traffic Control Room.

The owners can take back the documents after paying fines and changing glasses.

Earlier, in the wake of recent abduction incidents the instruction was issued by the home ministry to remove all sorts of tinted glass to check the crime. The deadline however ended yesterday.
