ACC summons Bodi for 'amassing wealth'
The Anti-Corruption Commission has summoned ruling party lawmaker from Cox's Bazar-4 constituency Abdur Rahman Bodi to appear before it on February 16 as part of investigation into allegation of amassing wealth illegally.
Legal action would be taken in case of failure to respond, the anti-corruption watchdog warned in a notice today.
The move came days after the media reported high increase in his wealth over Awami League's 2009-2013 tenure.
Referring to the allegation of amassing illegal properties, an ACC notice asked him to make a statement appearing in person before the commission.
Investigation Officer of the allegation, Ahsan Ali, a deputy director of ACC, will record his statement at 10:00am at ACC headquarters in the capital, the notice said.
