Aamir Khan bares all
Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan not only appears unfazed by the controversy generated by the controversial bare-all first poster of his in his upcoming Bollywood movie 'PK' which showed him in the buff but has defended it.
But even before the row over the first poster, in which Aamir is seen holding only a transistor to cover his private parts, dies down, a second poster of the film shows him in traditional Rajasthani attire, along with a trumpet bearing the name 'Bhairosingh Band'.
The "poster marketing" is a part of the promotional campaign which Aamir said is aimed at "confusing" the audience.
"Normally, film promos are launched first but we have decided to launch a series of posters with 'PK'. Every two to three weeks, there will be a new poster which will be introduced. We will have a poster campaign...We will release eight to ten posters till the time the film is released," Aamir told reporters in Mumbai at the launch of the second poster.
Reacting to the controversy over the first poster, Aamir said "I have achieved what I wanted to out of the first 'PK' poster. I have got some good reactions from people in the industry."
On social media full of jokes over his nude avatar, Aamir said "some people have loved it (poster) and some people didn't like it. The jokes were really funny. Some people even posed in the same fashion and we really enjoyed it. But you all will understand once you see the film. I am happy with the response."
Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, "PK" also features Anushka Sharma, Sushant Singh Rajput, Boman Irani and Sanjay Dutt in important roles. The film is set for release in December this year.
Aamir said 'PK' is one of his favourite films in his career spanning 25 years. "In the last 25 years, I have done films like “3 Idiots”, “Lagaan”, “Sarfarosh” on one side and this character from 'PK' on the other. There are so many moments in the film that will make you smile and cry. It ('PK') is one of my favourite films which I have done till date. It is one of the most important and difficult roles that I have done," the actor said.
Aamir also rubbished reports that his first poster was "photo shopped" and not genuine.
"It has not been photo-shopped. I had made this body for “Dhoom 3” and was simultaneously shooting for 'PK'. I shot for these two films at the same time," he added.
