6 vehicles torched in Dhaka, elsewhere
At least six vehicles were torched in Dhaka and elsewhere across the country today on the 23rd day of the BNP-led 20-party alliance’s nonstop blockade.
In Dhaka, miscreants set fire to a bus of Everest Paribahan near Golap Shah Mazar at Gulistan around 8:00pm, officials at Fire Service and Civil Defence told The Daily Star.
Two goods-laden trucks were set on fire in separate incidents in Bogra around 9:00pm and 2:30pm respectively, local fire station sources said.
The alleged blockaders torched two trucks in Magura and Comilla and a Leguna (human hauler) was torched in Gazipur.
Meanwhile, two people including a rickshaw puller was injured in separate crude bomb blasts in the capital.
They took treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital, said a policeman at DMCH camp told The Daily Star.
