A five-storey building in Mirpur in the capital tilted today, sending locals and inhabitants into panic.

Fire service officials evacuated the people living in the building, located in road number 20 of Rupnagar area, said Niazuddin, a sub-inspector of Rupnagar Police Station.

A crack was found along the ground floor, while another appeared on the fourth floor ceiling Thursday afternoon, said fire service officials quoting locals.

The roof tilted forward today, almost touching the building next to it, they added.
