4 more to be buried there
Bangladeshi embassy in Libya has decided to hold funerals of six Bangladeshi migrants, killed in clashes between the warring forces in the North African country, soon, as the bodies cannot be sent back home due to "security reasons".
“We took the decision after getting permission from the victims' families," said Ahsan Kibria Siddiqui, first secretary (labour) at the embassy, yesterday.
Of the six, Monir Miah, son of Phul Miah of Narsingdi, and Milon Hossain, son of Sadar Ali of Jhenidah, have already been buried in a Tripoli graveyard, he added.
Four other dead were Moshiur Rahman, son of Rafiqul Islam of Gopalganj; Kamal Bhuiyan of Brahmanbaria; and Sheikh Md Milon, son of Ali Sheikh, and Murad, son of Sarwar Mollah, of Madaripur.
Nine Bangladeshis were killed after being caught up in clashes in Tripoli and Benghazi between June 21 and August 6.
Last month, the bodies of two brothers Swapan Miah, 34, and Milon Sayal, 32, of Shariatpur, were sent back. No decision has yet been made regarding the other body, he added.
