4 injured in Dhaka bomb blasts
Four people suffered splinter injuries in crude bomb blasts at Palashi and Mirpur in Dhaka this evening.
Jibon, 30, and Monir, 35, were rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH), said Assistant Sub-Inspector Sentu Das of DMCH Police Camp.
The incident took place around 9:30pm when some unidentified miscreants hurled crude bombs at Mirpur-11, he added.
Two pedestrians suffered splinter injuries when several crude bombs went off at Palashi intersection.
Injured -- Abul Bashar, 45, and Tapan Roy, 18, -- were admitted to the same hospital, said Mozammel Haque, in-charge of DMCH Police Camp.
Miscreants blasted two to three crude bombs at Palashi around 7:45pm, leaving two pedestrians injured, the police officer said.
Later, locals rushed the duo to the hospital.
The incident took place on the 25th day of the BNP-led 20-party alliance’s countrywide indefinite blockade.
