34pc pass in medical, dental admissions
Result for state-run medical and dental college enrollment throughout the country has been published today with 34 percent of the admission seekers emerging successful.
A total of 22,759 students among of 66,987 secured pass marks in written tests for the 2014-15 academic calendar, said Zahid Malek, state minister for health and family welfare ministry, at a press briefing in Dhaka.
The result can be obtained from the website of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Alternatively, the candidates who have passed the tests will be notified via a short message (SMS) at their respective mobile contact numbers, the state minister said.
The students who emerged successful in the written tests will be filled in to the available 10,227 seats after further selection procedures. Admission procedures will begin from October 30 and continue till November 15.
Classes for the 2014-15 sessions of MBBS and BDS (medical and dental) courses will begin from January 10, the state minister said at the briefing held at the Directorate General of Health Services office in Mohakhali.
The written examination for the medical and dental admission was held throughout the country on Friday. An examinee must obtain 40 percent marks to secure position in the written test.
